Are you an experienced Automation Engineer looking for a new position? Our client an international pharmaceutical company based in Shannon has a great opportunity to join their team. This is a permanent, full time position with a great salary and benefits package on offer.
The Automation engineer will be responsible for site automation support across site which includes: production support, new projects, product introduction, upgrades and qualification support.
Assist in troubleshooting hardware and configuration problems and failures across site.
Develop the skill set of the process operators and supervisors.
Implement procedure and controls to ensure systems remain in compliance.
Support in the development of new processes and new product introduction.
Provide automation cost estimates for new product introductions.
Develop and/or review Validation documents.
Software developing and testing as required.
Project execution, man loading and scheduling.
Supervision of automation projects during commissioning.
Review and approve automation change controls.
Provide out of hours’ automation support and on-call.
To ensure that all waste is disposed of as per our License requirements, correctly segregated and materials stored in a correct manner.
To keep an energy and cost aware focus and to work to reduce energy usage and waste on site.
Qualifications and Skills:
B.Sc in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or Instrumentation with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Ability to design, configure, program and commission hardware and software control systems using Delta V, Wonderware, BMS systems and Siemens Automation platforms.
Experience with Siemens, Wonderware and Delta V applications.
Experience in a similar role in an FDA regulated environment
Knowledge of system validation.
Pharmaceutical / Chemical industry.
Project Engineering and Management.
Installation projects, process safety and validation.
